My question is if a certaib behavior can be a symptom of an MI I would post in the right MI section but I don't know what MI it could be a symptom of or even if it is a symptom. Its talking of oneself in the third person. This is a hypothetical example. Not a real person. Name only used for the example.
Nadine Lerner is a pre med student, As opposed to I , Nadine Lerner is a pre-med student. Or maybe too much time on my hands. LOL |

The Skeezyks has often referred to himself in the third person when replying to posts here on PC. (He used to do it more in the past than he does now because it seemed to freak a few members out.) The practice is referred to as "Illeism" My understanding is it is not considered to be a mental health symptom. Here's a link to an article (not on PC's website) on the subject:

I tried to speak like this for a minute “divine (obviously I used my real name) is so tired this week she is ready to go to bed at 9:30pm”. It made me laugh. I think it’s harmless but it felt weird. Kind of freaked me out.
Although I realize now I occasionally speak like this to my daughter (mommy loves you or mommy misses you). But not always. Usually I speak in first person. I’ve no idea why I’d say it like that in third person I am sure it’s not a mental illness |
