In your (town/city, state/province/territory, country, etc.), how would someone travelling to the area offend the locals?

Here (NH) don't be from Massachusetts or NYC. Don't wear any NY Yankees merchandise. Don't be one of those snowboarders that sideslips down a ski slope. Don't play music on a hike, especially in the official wilderness areas. Bring snowshoes on a hike (even if it's spring and 70 at the trailhead, good chances are you will encounter some slush, right now there's snow from just below 3000' up and if you post-hole you go to Hell). And don't put fake maple syrup on your pancakes.

Back when I lived in IL you could be asked to leave a resturant in Chicago if you put ketchup on your hotdog.

They don't **** around with ketchup on hotdogs.

People with umbrellas around here are usually visiting. Yeah, it rains a lot. But it's a drizzle, very rarely a hard rain. Even when it is a hard rain, it doesn't last long, and a baseball cap with a bill is usually enough to keep raindrops off your glasses.

Oh lordy, I live in Florida where we are swarmed be tourists! I could probably rant on for pages about the annoying things them do.

First off, don't talk about how much better whatever is where you came from. If it's so much freaking better, go back there!

Don't make fun of the way we talk. Yep, we have a Southern accent because WE LIVE IN THE SOUTH!!!

Leave the wildlife alone! Don't try to pet or take a selfies with gators, manatees, dolphins or other critters.
