He'll resign in exchange for not getting in Federal legal trouble. He probably broke a Federal law related to "structuring" (arranging things so as to hide payments) which has a jail sentence of up to 5 years.

We are a support site. I have been here only a short time but I have yet to read a post demeaning an individual that came here with an issue(s) that many people without our perspective might find deserving of dismissal.

Some of us suffer with obsessions and compulsions that make no sense to anyone not suffering them..

Though his behavior more than disappoints me,,,I am a person who did suffer with behavior that was killing me and destroying some folks who I loved dearly.

Moral, ethical or pure disease,,we all deserve a chance to face our frailties and to become what we were meant to be...

If he turns his back upon this chance to face his demons and become a better person,,,then that will be the greatest of failures...

I hope and pray that this man and his family find a way to forgive, heal and pass on the lessons of falling from Grace..

It is so hard to be human sometimes..

I have read your post a few times I WMD...interesting userid BTW...

This could be a great thread upon it's own...nature vs. nuture when reflected upon the behaviors being discussed here.

I think your right if I understand your basic premise,,that this behavior revolves around control and not sex. That being the case,,the behavior is dysfunctional in the society we live. There are times in History where this was not the case. However now and then there was/is pain to pay.

Being cast by my own history, my tendency for compassion first looks to the victim. In most cases of trama there is not just one. As I have matured this reality becomes more profound.

In this particular case and in others that you mention,,there are a plethora of victims,,including the presupposed perpetrator..

Trama is tragic in it's scope.
