Hi.

Is this forum only for people who have lost other people due to death?

I'm looking for a forum where I can talk about my fears around retirement. There are different kinds of loss, and leaving a job I've had since 1985 is one of them.

Thanks.

Here's the Grief & Loss Forum description from the forum index:

"A helpful place to visit for support when you've lost a loved one, either through death or some other kind of loss."

I can't offer anything in the way of an official ruling on this. But I would take that to mean the forum is for grief & loss related to a loved one only. But you could personal message a moderator & ask them for a recommendation. My thinking would be that the Work & Careers forum might be the appropriate place to post regarding retirement. And then, assuming you're 55 or older, the Seniors' Forum might be another option?

Yes, as a member of the seniors' forum, I think that would be a good place to post about retirement. Here's the link: https://psychcentralforums.com/seniors-lounge/
