My condolences on your loss. I don't know what your dad died of. But I can't imagine it was your fault. But coping with the loss of a parent can be difficult especially for someone as young as yourself. Hopefully posting, here on PC, can be of some help. But, really, the thing to do I believe is to find someone in real life with whom you can talk about your struggles.
Someone you might talk to could perhaps be a school counselor, a trusted teacher, a relative such as a grandparent or an aunt or uncle if you are in touch with any of those people, or a professional mental health therapist if arrangements could be made for you to see one. It's continuing to hold inside all of the sadness of what you have experienced that is going to continue to cause you to suffer. Please take care. __________________ "I may be older but I am not wise / I'm still a child's grown-up disguise / and I never can tell you what you want to know / You will find out as you go." @Skeezyks
i am not going to say what he died of just because i would like to stay anonomas and you could eaisly look up stuff bc it was on the news and you could look up what happend and put two and two together. not saying u would but there is people like that and like i said my parents dont know. i need to keep it that way for now. i have a lot of reasons to this. mostly because my sister seeks atention and i do not want them to think this is what i am doing. if you have any other help i would greatly appreciate it. |

Hi brokenlosttired. I am sorry for the loss of your dad. It must be quite a loss for you. Survivor's guilt happens and guilt we did not say all the things we should have.
I lost my dad 3 years ago but it was not sudden or unexpected as he had been in nursing care for a couple years. The pain was worse at first. I started going to support groups and I found people that knew how I felt and so I did not feel alone and isolated. if you are having suicidal thoughts, a professional can help you to get stable again. Here are some articles that may be of help. Coping with Grief | Psych Central __________________ Super Moderator Community Support Team "Things Take Time" |

I know it's hard now, but one day you can be on your own and make your own life better. I know.
