I don't see any other threads on this topic.

I've been eating healthier for awhile now and find it very gratifying.

Eating from all 5 food groups is necessary for optimum health. Here is a link for those interested: What is MyPlate? | Choose MyPlate

I also try to drink about 4 16 oz. glasses of water a day. This helps to take the toxins out of the system.

I agree someone shouldn't totally cut out a food group under normal circumstances. It's certainly not healthy for long. Good for you for watching what you eat.

I need to start eating healthier. I eat like crap. Just because I can maintain a normal weight while mainly eating Doritos, Mountain Dew, and fast food, doesn’t mean I’m healthy. Plus I’ve been getting sick a lot more then I used to. I’ve been getting stomach bugs and really bad ear and sinus infections. Stuff I never used to get until I hit a lower weight. I used to get a very small cold once every 1.5 years. Now it seems like I have something legit every month. Can this be related to my bad diet?

Usually I try to eat healthy and balanced. I admit I’m sometimes depressed or in a hurry and don’t eat right or don’t eat enough. Often I try to eat fruit at one to two meals and vegetables at one to two meals at a minimum, but don’t always do that.

Maybe and do make a point to fit fruit and vegetables in your diet and even take multivitamin.
