This website says a healthy BMI (body mass index) is between 18.5 to 25 for male and female. If you google bmi calculator then google shows a BMI calculator for you. For a male 5 foot 10 inches you need to enter a weight of 129 lbs (87 kg) to get it to 18.5.

Isn't 129 lbs for a 5'10" male consider anorexic? That really surprises me that such a weight would be consider in the region of ideal healthy weight.

The BMI calculator is complete bull. It means nothing. There are so many reasons its wrong but the above link is pretty clever.

I personally like to go by BMI. But that’s just me. I have high standards for myself and I refuse to let myself be 236 pounds again. So I use BMI along with other things. But 129 at 5’10 doesn’t sound right at all.

129 is the low end of healthy. I think the top end would be around 174? Its a range. And it's just a guideline.
The ideal weight is the one that feels best to you.

There's no "ideal healthy weight." I agree w SarahSweets about BMI. Focus on a healthy lifestyle. Don't worry about the numbers.

BMI is accurate. My ex husband is 5' 10" and weighed 128 lbs the day we married. He is a naturally thin man. He is now 44 and weighs much more but is likely bordering on overweight. Or the high end of normal. Bone structure makes a difference too.
