Anyone here ever gone through iron infusions? I had my 2nd for the first time (doc has ordered a 4 week CBC). I know everyone has different experiences, but I am wondering how long it took to help, if there are side effects the first few days after, if anyone has noticed psych symptoms post-infusion?

I get a B12 shot every 4-5 weeks. I find the injection burns when it goes it, and then my arm is typically sore for about 8 hours. But I haven't noticed any psych effect. In fact I haven't noticed any change in how I feel since I started getting the shot.

Mine is not related to low B12 though. They checked those numbers beforehand, and my B12 level was right in the middle of the normal range.

I dont know about the infusons but I take iron orally. Alot of it. Over 1,000 milligrams a day. I know without it my body is weak and I can hardly use my extremities. As far as you noticing psych problems you take alot of psych meds and sometimes they do more harm than good. I have actually felt more crazy on some psych meds.
