I had a mole (or that is what they call it) but it was more like an infected hair follicle on my scalp for years. But it was getting in the way. Every time I would go to the hair salon they would hit it and then right after use product so it was painful. So yesterday I had it removed. Ugh...

It didn't hurt at all until...about 4 hours after. Then, ikes, it feels like someone put a knife in my scalp and left it there.

I do have two stitches but the doctor didn't even take my hair off. He said it is very unusual for the scalp to ever get infected so he didn't think it was necessary. I am not allowed to wash my hair for a few days. Or really touch my wound.

The stitches don't come out for two weeks.

I had trouble sleeping last night and had to get up and take motrin.

No that would gross me out. But it wasn't a pimple just a hard lump. Doctor said it was benign.

Still hurts. I mistakenly put my sunglasses on my head as I normally do... right over the wound. owww.

She removes a lot of lumps from scalps, thats why i mentioned it. As you said, she doesnt shave the area first. Then she closes it with stitches. My mother had had 3 lumps on her head. She had them removed, they were all benign.

Oh then she should change her name to Dr. Pimple Popper and stuff.

I think it is the stitches. I have never had them in my head before and every time you smile or move it pulls on them. The wound itself looks remarkably good. Had to take a motrin.

So it stopped hurting and actually became itchy. I went back yesterday and had my stitches removed. The doctor said everything looked really good but I have to admit I am disappointed. There is a massive red wound area that is still pretty sensitive and I actually still have a lump. The doctor said that it was just part of the wound and when it heals it will flatten out but... I don't really believe him. I can see it going down a bit but the point was that I had the original mole / lump because a small lump formed and over the years things just kept hitting it and making it bigger. So we will see...

Did he show you what he had removed from your head? Dr pimplepopper films everything and shows all the gunk and stuff to the client.

Its been so interesting even just watching her skills improve over these couple of years shes been on youtube. I watch other people sometimes and its like i want to scream at them, they are so clumsy. People scream at sandra too (in comments, anyway) - i think it helped perfect her skill!

No but when I got up the gauze and stuff was still around and it was amazingly bloody. Note to self.. do not take an axe to the head.

I am applying vasaline as directed and coconut oil as I have heard it is antibacterial and will help the wound not to scar.
