Does anyone know any remedies that actually work? I looked online and found some spices that say they work. I tried some tea that had ginger in it. I’m not sure if any of this works or if it’s just a bunch of old wives tales. But I’ll try anything at this point.

I think it is very individual but I used to find that when I ate less (or less carbs) for 4 or 5 days, I seemed able to make it happen if I was anyplace around my period.

Most women on birth control pills know ahead of time when periods are going to happen
Prior to my hysterectomy I took 3 birth control packs back to back skipping placebo’s so I only had 4 periods a year. __________________ Helping others gets me out of my own head ~ |

I started peri menopause so I skip periods randomly and then get slammed with a bad one. I haven’t had a period since October so I’ll see how December goes and finally go back to the gynecologist

I really just want to get a hysterectomy right now. My PMDD almost puts me in the psych hospital, and the birth control makes me feel so physically sick I feel like throwing up and I can’t eat. I swear I just wasn’t meant to be female.

My cousin had similar issues with most birth control but depoprovera worked for her, it’s basically progesterone without estrogen....it’s also available as an injection so it bypasses eating it...the way she took it it suppressed her period entirely. When she was describing her PMDD she used words like homicidal.....so this was a better alternative. __________________ Hugs! |

I didn't have those kinds of symptoms but when I was having it bad I discovered natural progesterone and it really eased my symptoms. You can find it on Amazon. Seriously I thought it would be a scam but it really worked. There is a book about it called what your doctor won't tell you about perimenopause.. not that you in perimenopause but that is usually when people start getting severe symptoms.

Usually when this question is asked, its because the period is "late" due to pregnancy. I dont know if hysterectomy solves the PMDD problem - its not like getting your tonsils out. Youre altering a major part of your biological clock. Like when people go on the night shift and try to sleep during the day? Its kind of a big dill. Youre in a different state, not necessarily a fixed or repaired state.
