I read a thread by a member about the Carnivore diet but am unable to comment. Does anyone have any examples of what this diet would be and if they tried it?

The carnivore diet basically involves eating meat and not much else. It is similar to a keto diet, if you are familiar with that, but more restrictive. You can find a lot of info about it if you Google it; it's been discussed a lot lately in the last year or two.

A lot of people report that health conditions like acne, etc. cleared up after they started the carnivore diet, but there are not currently actual studies and trials to provide information about this, so the only real current info out there is people's anecdotal experiences. My guess is that any time someone stops eating a typical American diet of a lot of fast food, packaged foods, and junk/convenience foods, their health will likely improve because they are eating whole, real foods with more nutrients. So I would guess that a lot of the good experiences people have with the carnivore diet could be replicated by doing a diet such as Whole30 or low carb with vegetables. Vegetables also provide a lot of nutrients and cancer-protective compounds that you can't get from meat, so this is just my opinion, but I would take an educated guess that it is probably better to go with the traditional wisdom of including a lot of vegetables in the diet for health. Hope that helps with some general info.
