Does anyone have it?

Since December I have been suffering with back pain but, not only that.. it seems like bizarre pain everyplace. I can hardly move without a spot on my body being sensitive with a flair of pain. Almost never in the same place. It is like random or something.

I finally looked up the symptoms of fibromyalgia and they are pretty similar. Usually starting in the back and neck and then maybe spreading to arms and shoulders or even the front of the body. It is like my body has become overly sensitive to everything.

I wake up most mornings stiff and like a truck hit me. I think I have to get a new mattress or I have to get new pillows but I can' imagine that is the problem.

The only draw back is that it seemed to come on quickly.

I'm sorry you are dealing with this. I don't have fibromyalgia. But I can sure relate to feeling hit by a truck when you get up in the morning. It's been that way for me for many years now. (I'm just not a morning person.) In my case my spouse is a morning person though. So when she gets up.

A new mattress & pillows sounds like a good idea just in general. But you're right it seems unlikely it's the source of your discomfort. I hope you are able to find a solution though. Chronic pain is no fun. Perhaps there will yet be some members who have fibromyalgia who will have some suggestions to offer.

I am giving that Carnivore diet a shot for one week. Everyone who is on it says it really nips pain in the bud and there are some scientific studies that say that fibromyalgia is related to Insulin Resistance.

I'm pretty sure I've has fibromyalgia for many years. I've never spoken with a doctor about (until yesterday) because I figured no doctor would take me seriously. Yesterday, though, I mentioned it to my pdoc and she encouraged me to talk to my GP. So maybe I will.

btw, ~Christina has fibro. She mostly on the Bipolar board.

Well at least for me I am not sure what is going on. I still have back pain but I got a more serious diagnosis today... that wasn't great.

Hesci,

I have a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia. It’s completely understandable to have questions. I was very afraid of being misdiagnosed again.
What I did is go to national Fibromyalgia organizations online and read about Fibromyalgia.
All the “classic symptoms“ will be listed along with explaining what Fibromyalgia is and what areas of the body Fibromyalgia can affect.
This is what I suggested for my mom to do when she had questions and afterwards she was able to rule out
Fibromyalgia.
