I need some support and advise
I had a total hystorectomy in sept of last yr. I went home the next day.

2 days later i wasnt able to pee on my own. I was catherterized and admitted. Had an ultrasound done and told i had a hole in my bladder which the surgeon was supposed to fix in another surgery.

I started to leak randomly to the poinylt i had to weear thick pads and eventually had a cytoscopy which dr said the hole was not closed??. Anyway i ended up going to a urogyno whom finally told me what i had a vesical vagina fistula which is basically a cut between the vagina and bladder which the other doctor failed to tell me i am going to have to have another surgery in march to close it and im still in catherter

I have reached out to a couple of attorney who feel they cant take th case because their medical reviwer suggested complications but i know it ahould not have hapoenef. I still have no answers and i want justice. I thought about going out of state. Does anyone have any idea. I feel as tho the medical sys and legal sys has let me down at this poin

Hi, Denise. I'm sorry to hear about your problem. I think the question is did the doctor create the hole due to his tinkering with you? Or did it appear on its own? Ye, he should have told you you needed further surgery, if he caused it.

What do other doctors say? I think you'll have to get their advice and statements before you would have a case. But I'm not clear on how such things work.

At any rate, I've had a catheter for awhile and it's not fun. Best wishes and keep us informed.

My sister has had fistulas, so I'll have to ask her what causes them.

Hi. The hoapital put the coded it as accidental injury to an organ in which means medical malpractice butthe attorney said its not admissible in court. I am looking for one in a neighboring state that lisenced in the state im in. It seems that the attorneys here use the same medical reviewr
