For about a month now my eyes have bothered me. I assumed it was old age and or working on a small laptop all day long for 30+ days. That could be it.

Then Friday I mistakenly got coconut oil in my eyes. I have looked it up and it won't be a big deal but still my eyes feel terribly tired and dry.

I don't even know if I could get in for an exam right now. Has anyone had this kind of pain dryness in the eyes due to eye strain?

I mean I used to use a laptop for 2 hours a day and now I am using it like 10 hours.

Yes, I have, dear one. Have you tried artificial tears (Over the counter eye drops)? They can be a big help, as well as just getting your eyes off the computer for a bit.

Thanks, my boss confirmed to me that after a few weeks of working on the laptop her eyes were killing her. She is getting me a larger screen.

I have found my eyes feel better with my glasses (usually for seeing distances) I think it takes the pressure off my eyes during most of the day.

Thanks yes it did seem to resolve. But I didn't end up getting the larger screens. I started taking 15 minute breaks each hour and I have actually been going into work 1x per week.

Also, wondering if there was some allergy related aspect to it as they hurt the most on a day it was very hot here.
