My mom and brother had it and don't wear glasses though mom needs readers. She denies it. Anyway i hate glasses and have wanted it for years, so i contacted them. I'm not sure how I'll pay for it, but I'll figure it out. Care credit or something. But i want it done and have for years. So when they open again I'm on a call back list.

I know people who have had the lasik surgery and they are pleased with the results. I've thought about getting it myself, but haven't had the initial consultation yet.

Everyone who had surgery done are pleased with it. But I won’t take the risk. I like glasses on the most part. I think it’s important to have nice glasses that suit your face. I like my cute glasses so no issues there. I think of getting new ones when pandemics is over and I am already looking for styles .

Glasses look awful on me, I have a skinny face. Kids glasses kind of fit but not quite. Adult glasses are huge on my face. I really hate glasses. They never fit right and just look awful. I'm vain, I hate them.

Yes, I wear glasses too. I highly recommend you find out the experience of the ophthalmologist you see for lasik surgery. I know some people who went to a inexperienced eye doctor and had bad results. They can't see out of one eye or their vision did not improve. I would go to a academic center where the eye doctors are really experienced and have many patients. It's just my two cents. I don't want to get unnecessary surgery but realize one day I will need cataract surgery for my eyes. I will do these procedures one day as I get older, but am not too interested in lasik surgery.

Well I am vain too. My current glasses are Prada. Lol so clearly vain.

You can find glasses that fit you and compliment your face and they adjust them accordingly. I have a small face too so not every shape works.

I assume you're not 18 yet, so I think it's important for you to wait until you can do it yourself. I've heard bad things about lasik surgery--and would never get it. But it would be your decision.

I suggest the next time you can get glasses, ask for a number of frames to see what works best for your face.

In the meantime, it would be good if you stay patient. Before you know it, you'll officially be an adult and can do what you want. Okay?

Are you on medicaid? Some places will be covered. I do not think you are in the position to go into debt over lasik surgery. I also had it but it was covered accept for a small deductible. No way would I finance surgery or other elective procedures in this economy.

Aviza, I just looked into getting orthokeratology lenses. You wear them at night and take them off during the day. Why don't you look around in your area and see if any ophthalmologist offers them. The problem is the price. They are not cheap!!

I got daily soft lenses. Focusing far is fine, but focusing near is a bit of a problem. I will see if my eyes adjust to them soon. I am getting complimented for my appearance now. The glasses hid my eyes. I have very long eye lashes and my eyes stand out now.
