I had EMDR yesterday and last night I had horrible nightmares. I can't remember they just kept waking me up. Then this AM I had a headache, my eyes hurt and I was weak. During EMDR my right hand involuntarily started shaking. My foot kept taping. She kept turning the buttons off. Has anyone else had this after EMDR?

I haven't had this kind of therapy but wanted to let you know that some-one is listening. Can you contact the person who did the therapy and ask if this is normal and maybe get some suggestions of what may help you.
Is there any thing you can do to self soothe? Doing something calming and pleasant.

I have had the physical reactions during EMDR. For me it meant that I was dealing with some serious stuff. I agree with possum about giving your therapist a call. I hope you feel better by now.
