Has anyone been to Timberline Knolls, this past year? Or ever.?
.
Did you have a good experience.?

Is a good place for someone who has severe abuse history (satanic cult) and severe anxiety?

Are they kind and effective there.?

Thank you for any info and responses to my questions.

I have been to Timberline Knolls twice and both times I had great experiences. I believe that you get out what you put in and the staff here really helped motivate and challenge me to change. I struggled with both an eating disorder and …More

The facility was great but i STRONGLY caution anyone against seeing the visiting Dr Boddie. She's an unhelpful woman that is impossible to contact outside of this facility, doesn't return calls, won't entertain questions and sent my tiny …More

Timberline Knolls was the place that helped me save my life. I notice some reviews are pretty negative and in my opinion childish. Any rehabilitation facility is hard to go to and hard to be in. I promise if you or your loved one is going …More

Awful. They advertise acres of beautiful land- but that is never seen by the residents. Clients are always attempting to harm themselves and break out. Some of the therapists are unprofessional.

Don't go! Save your money. This place needs to give it patients a exit interview questionnaire. It is good for those who have an eating disorder as no matter what they say, ED is their specialty. The PM shift barely works. They are …More

Timberline knolls saved my life and gave me freedom I haven’t been in a treatment center/hospital in 3 years. Which is huge for me. PHP helped me be accountable and have support. I know it’s scary and staff and residents are very friendly …More

I didn't stay here but a relative is staying here. This place is beautiful and the therapists are very good. I've seen good changes in my relative. Staff is awesome. I have no complaints. They all work together and help the residents so much. I would recommend this facility to anyone needing this kind of care

It specializes mostly in eating disorders. I was there for other reasons. Be careful with your insurance. Many gals have been cut off with only a few hours notice and had to leave the same day because insurance decided time was up.

It was very chaotic. There's just way too many people (on Oak lodge). I don't to go as far as saying this place traumatized me.. but I am ten times more anxious, tense, and jumpy than before I went there. Almost every sound I hear makes me jump and now, when I get very anxious, I become SUPER jittery and kinda like.. twitch..? Yeah. I feel like this place would have been more effective if there had been less people.

I was admitted here when I was 15. The staff was awful, and did not care about the wellbeing of any of the patients. If someone was having a panic attack or a breakdown of any sort their only solution was to sedate them. They were unorganized, disrespectful, and clearly did not have the proper training to be handling their patients. I could honestly go on for hours about how horrible my experience was, Do not send your child here.

boy do i have words for this place. I highly reccomend not going here. when i entered treatment i was 85 lbs, I had never been more than about 120 lbs in my life. When I went to Timberline Knolls they put me on a meal plan that made me gain weight until i was overweight..... Just under 150 lbs which is overweight for someone my size. If you are reading this then I hope you know this is every anorexic person's worst nightmare. MY THERAPIST DIDN'T EVEN KNOW I WAS THERE FOR AN EATING DISORDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nurse Keri is an evil person. My insurance was about to cut me lose, which i wasn't aware of but my treatment team was. I was done with Timberline Knolls at that point and ready to get the hell out of that hell hole. The adolescent ward was out of control, unruly, a mess, disorganized, and dangerously understaffed. ! I was weeks short of turning 18 and couldn't discharge myself so I was stuck. I was very obviously tired of the place and it was pushing me to a breaking point. They gave me thorazine to calm me down, which if you don't know can aggravate someone who has never taken it. Well Nurse Keri proceded to give me upsetting news while I was very obviously on the edge. Which sent me over an edge. They wouldn't give me time to calm down and called the police on me. I was trapped there for another month. It took me one week to relapse. That's all. Will never go to treatment again. I hate you Timberline.

Hi sarasweets,
Thank you, for posting some reviews, what I was really looking for was people who had personal experience with Timberline Knolls, from
the Psych central boards/forums.
Thanks for the effort 😊

I think it’s mainly for eating disorders. At least it was 10 years ago. I knew of a girl who was there but then she got transferred to a different treatment program because they felt her eating disorder wasn’t strong enough for her to be there and she went somewhere that could treat her other issues. Abuse and anxiety and a lot of behavior problems. I don’t live in the state anymore so I’m not totally sure what it’s like now.
