I was just recently thinking.. maybe my pdoc is refusing to give me that diagnosis because it doesn't fall under coverage. does anyone know if that has any fact for medicaid (unicare that uses medicaid (it confuses me so i dont know how to explain it)).

And then... what am I suposed to do, if it isn't covered? ... that's the reason why i get SSI, and if my diagnosis is changing every month that i see my pdoc.. what will happen? on my ssi interview papers it states the reason for recieving ssi is a disability then it goes on to state "Borderline Personality Disorder, and PTSD" and states that it will be re evaulwated May 10th 2011, to see if i still qualify for ssi. (my pdoc also refuses to see i have ptsd too. i have changing pdocs on my to do list, but... I've not gotten around to it yet.)

That's weird. My mom was diagnosed with BPD and she had full coverage on Medicaid. I'm really unsure about the SSI, though. I'll ask around with the more educated folks I know, and see what I can find.

What is it you're looking to get covered? Prescriptions, check ups, therapy? I know there are tons of prescription aid programs (only way I can get my meds right now), and your local health department might know of organizations that can help with therapy costs, or even free support group.

Thanks
And I heard somewhere that it wasn't, and i can't figure out if it's true or not... but I was thinking this might be why my pdoc keeps denying and rediagnosising me with something that isn't right.
Well my main concern is when it comes around for the ssi check up and if i don't have those diagnosis's anymore, I'm sure i'll be left high and dry, and stuck with no medicaid and no monthly income.
And my prescriptions are covered, since the only thing i'm on is Vyvanse. But I also heard that there are things that the pdoc wont be paid for if someone doesn't have a certian disorder from a list that they have. So i'm wondering if that could be the case as to why he refuses to give me the diagnosis's i was hospitalized for, and continue to still struggle with them. And I do know each month a thing is sent to medicaid stating my levels of depression and such.. and i hate it because i'm always like "well what if i'm feeling good and i say everything is okay?" because medicaid requires this paper work monthly, to see if i still qualify for the pdoc and therapy.. Which then makes me wanna say "i don't want therapy if i'm at risk at loosing it come each month.. " and i get panicy inside thinking "what if i trust this therapist and then I'm doing well one month so they state i don't qualify for therapy anymore. " *sighs*
But, thanks! if you have any luck, or know of anyone I could ask then feel free to let me know !
Thanks again!
