Call an experienced SSI advocate and soon because you have a deadline in which to appeal. I personally do not recommend that you and your Dad try to do this on your own. You need an advocate. Binder and Binder specialize in advocating on behalf of individuals to help cut through the red tape. I do not know of anyone who has personally used them before, so you can also do a google search for "SSI advocate".

The better and more medical records the better chance you will have of collecting ssi (or ssdi). From personal experience I suggest you contact your local MHMR (Mental Health Mental Retardation), they will assess you and help you with medications and seeing a psychiatrist on a regular basis. I am only assuming you live in the U.S.? You can do a google search of your county and the mhmr for instance I live in Tarrant county so I would type in "TARRANT COUNTY MHMR". I can get you some resources if you need the help. Send me a pm if you do and I will be happy to help you find whatever resources are in your area. Good Luck!

What are you living on now? Do you have any contact with counselors or State/local government, someone who could tell you where to apply/how to proceed (even if they can't help you)? Daddy can't have it both ways? If he wants to help get you help he might have to allow you all to stay overnight at greenwell springs?
Maybe you can get in a day program: http://www.dhh.louisiana.gov/offices...62&Detail=3562 and meet someone there who can help with the paperwork? __________________ "Never give a sword to a man who can't dance." ~Confucius |

Need evidence of the original application, as once you are approved it is figured from when you first applied. Most need a lawyer, why not contact the State's Attorney for pro-bono or sliding scale attorneys? Good wishes __________________ |
