I understand your struggle. Divorced after 24 years, remarried for 19 but not happily. I'm on disability but that isn't enough to live on being single so I stay married and just get by on my disability and his SS. Life sucks.

I started out at 12 myself, delivering newspapers. Went on to make comfortable living until I could no longer work. June 26th 2014. I get 12,000 a year on MetLife disability because it was wrote into out UAW Union contract. Savings are gone, 401k gone, only have insurance through my wifes job but she has the bright idea that she is quitting. I guess we are both in the same boat but if there is going to be a divorce, I will start the process. I am just so sick of her blaming me almost dying twice, on me and all the meds I have to take to stay alive. I am at the point, that I just don`t care. I have no idea if 12000 is above or below the poverty level in Ohio or not. But, when I worked nothing but 12 hour days, 7 days a week, that was perfectly fine!!! Funny how that works, isn`t it??

yeah I'm a ex UAW but UAW -IPS interior parts suppliers What a joke. U know what it is they have to go too work and u don't I bet u would gladly like me trade the emotional and physical pain with her my ex-to-be has been totally the opposite of supportive she even called me a loser. She makes $20.00 hr driving a man up picker and is out of touch with reality. I could go on and on. Poverty level income is like $22,000.00. Yeah your wife is a dandy. sorry

eyesclosed...your eyes are open now...just like mine.
I too..left a lucrative career due to mental illness, breakdown...and now I may lose the house i worked for..can't afford it on the SSDI payments.

And! I make just above the 22k on SSDI so I don't qualify for free medical..I have to not only pay Medicare..but i have to pay for office visits...lab work...etc..more than I was paying when I was making 100k a year..the last 5 years I worked.

No one wanted for anything in my household...now they are all gone..and I'm here alone losing everything..including my mind.
