I really wasn't prepared for how expensive it would be. I got a mattress set today, yikes. Even discounted was expensive. A dining table from goodwill was half off furniture day, looked for a couch none worked for me. I used my credit card to buy the matress, wish I had the cash. Really stretched. Now I have to come up with a repayment plan. So tired today. Everyone says nice apartment.

One thing that helped me is facebook marketplace. If you are careful you can pick up furniture for a steal. I plan on only one more move in my life. |

I am saving up now for a move. The last time I moved I had 4 volunteers and a friend (I had to pay the friend).
Some people say it costs less to box up your own belongings and ship them by UPS or FedEx than it costs to pay movers. I think that I may try that next time, just box up everything except the furniture, and let UPS or FedEx ship it to my new address. I have a good friend who has offered to move me but she and I are too old to do our own loading and unloading. I wish I could afford to live in an RV and never have to pack and unpack again. |
