PROS: it works
CONS: none

I commonly buy prescribed medications via americantrustpills (seriously, this place sucks) without danger. The fact is that I use to take plenty of it so minimal expense is extremely important for me.

PROS:
CONS: severe metal and emotional distress

When on this medication for a month, I experienced diziness, fatigue, extreme confusion, depression, suicidal thoughts, irritability, and irrational thoughts/behavior. After I stopped taking the medication, I had worsened depression, confusion, and occasional strange nightmares. Although many of these symptoms could have been unrelated or preexisting, I thought I should inform others of its possible side effects.

PROS: no side effects
CONS:

I couldn't see where to edit my first post to add, no one had any weight gain or any other side effects. All have thought it was the best thing to happen to them... and no, I don't work for any pharma company...

PROS: only subclinical dosage needed
CONS: none

3 family members have taken clomipramine, it has been a godsend. The youngest only needs a subclinical dosage after other psychotropics did not help her obsessive anxiety/worrying/agitation - it also helped her grandparents with the same problem. Perhaps it is because of genetics that it worked for all 3? But it is worth its weight in gold in our family. It may be an 'old' psychotropic, but it's a 'goodie'.

PROS: helps anxiety and obsessive-compulsive behavior
CONS: somnolence and weight gain

Once again, side effects sabotage the benefits of this medication. I have seen people gain a lot of weight while taking this.

PROS: Quick acting - felt medication working within 3 days
CONS: Got really, really fat, fast! (almost 30 lbs in 45 days w/no change in diet. Slowed me down to the point that I felt like a vegetable.

Took this med to help highly aggitated state. Mimimum dosage prescribed to test side effects. (I've experienced alot of side effects with most phych drugs, so am assuming that I am just highly sensitive compared to average). Although calming effects worked very well, the weight gain was just TOO MUCH to handle! It came on so fast and showed no signs of slowing. That really freaked me out - I was afraid the extra lbs would stay forever and would create other difficulties such as high bp and diabetes, which runs in my family. They did not, but it did take almost a year to return to my normal weight range. Other friends I knew that were taking this medication had all ballooned to over 50 lbs (minimum, if they stayed on it)without a change in diet as well (despite the fact label describes it as "increased appetite"). Some that were on higher dosages were like zombies. It slowed them down physically and mentally, and left them unable to show much emotion at all. I would only take it for short periods of time - say, during psychotic-type phases of my illness (BPD). However, I have never stayed in one phase long enough to warrant its re-use. If it didn't have the side effects, I would try using it again, I think. Sorry, can't rate price. Billing of my meds go straight to provincial/federal health plans.
