PROS: Completely relieves aniexty in its entirety. Will help those who are unaware of their aniexty levels until they use it.
CONS: No Doctor will prescribe for longterm use. Abrupt cease of use will cause seizsures.

I wish I had some valium handy in times of need, night terrors, panic attacks, social anxiety, etc. When I had valium I would attend all my social obligations, I could be myself without all the awkwardness and wanting to escape. Previously I could not differentiate anxiety feelings/thoughts to what was considered normal until I took valium for the first time and was able to understand what feelings, thoughts and actions were correlated to anxiety. It also helped my anxiety awareness once I was officially off the drug. Psychiatrists won't give you valium but your general physician will prescribe in cases of emergency (e.g., death in the family, divorce, short-term bridge until long-term meds are prescribed). The reason is that your body begins to build a tolerance to valium which will require increased dosage for effect. If a patient is not properly weaned off of valium, abrupt cease of use will run a high risk of seizures even if you don't have history of seizures. It changes your brain chemistry as well with long-term use. Hopefully they make a safer version that not only will be safe for long-term use but available over the counter.

PROS: Calms the body and muscular system
CONS: Muscle weakness

This drug works for some, and doesn't work for the rest. This mainly effects those who are genuinely in trouble or crisis, for example for those who are in the verge of having a full blown panic attack or threatening over something. It's fast to work but is quickly over.

PROS: it works
CONS: none

I usually purchase prescribed meds via americantrustpills (seriously, this place sucks) without danger. The fact is that I use to take tons of it so minimal price tag is extremely important for me.

PROS: Calming
CONS: Not allowed use it long term

I've been on this short term during stressful times, I had to ask and make a case for needing something to calm anxiety during these times. I found it helpful but would have liked it long term for dissociation, it's addictive though. It's good when I can use it but it's kind of worse after when I have to go back to being without it. I haven't needed it in a long time though.

PROS: No side effects noticed, helps fall asleep
CONS: None

Better than klonopin because sedation wears off quicker and you feel better waking up in the morning

PROS: works fast when it is not used on a daily bases
CONS: /

I was taking this medication for "just in case", so it worked well; works quickly, if you have a panic attack, or get too exited - kinda like a tranquilizer.

PROS: It usually works.
CONS: Sometimes it makes me feel worse.

Not as good as Xanax. Often makes me sleepy when all I want is relief from Limited System Panic Attacks. Sometimes it makes me angry - as it is wearing off. I do not have anger issues - but every so often, maybe six or seven hours after taking Valium, I want to strangle the cat, the dog, and anything else that happens to be within reach.

PROS: no side effects for me
CONS:

i have tried several drugs for anxiety ,none worked very well. Diazapam is the only drug that has helped with my pms, which leads to agitation and anxiety, highly recommended, the only downside it is quite addictive, but i would rather be on diazapam than suffer the terrible agitation and anxiety that i suffered before i started taking this drug,,another thing i found it killed my sex drive,,,but i can live with that!!!!but for how long i am not sure!!!!

PROS: Effective for multiple medical conditions other than anxiety
CONS: Potential for abuse-and the folks who abused it for those who need it

Good overall--the liquid is pricey, and with a malabsorption syndrome, I have to have liquid. My insurance won't cover compounded. The liquid is also very nasty-tasting. Other than that, it's effective--both for my anxiety, sometimes sleep, and the muscles spasms I get as a result of SPS.

PROS: calming, stops panic attacks fast
CONS: none yet.

I just started taking Valium. I've tried Ativan, Klonopin, and Xanax XR and all three were not strong enough to help my worst panic attacks. So far, 5mg of Valium is doing the trick. I hope it lasts!

PROS: Very calming
CONS: Addictive for some

Valium has done an excellent job at calming me down when needed. I have struggled with panic attacks and generilized anxiety for ages now and valium has helped me more than anything. Granted it can be addictive, I think overall it is a really good drug.

PROS: Made me relax, when experiencing bad anxiety
CONS: I can't help but want more

I'm not sure where I stand, it worked fabulously for me, but with my addictive personality it's dangerous.

PROS: Works better than Cyclobenzaprine
CONS: If you're extremely sensitive to hypnotics you'll find out the next morning >.<

Had servere TMJ spasming/pain and took the minimum dosage as directed after work on a Friday. The next thing I know it's Saturday morning and my wife is pissed at me. Apparently I ate a fresh tray of brownies she baked and was walking around like I was drunk & acting like a brat.. I had no knowledge of these accusations lol. But I knew she wasn't making them up neither.

PROS: Relaxes body, helps with severe back nerve pain from injury
CONS: None yet.

Haven't taken it long enough to experience the cons, but so far it's helped with a calming effect on my lower back pain.

PROS: Great. Really calming and helps insomnia.
CONS: Makes you drowsy the following day.

This drug is great in the intial stages of anxiety but not for long term use. Also really helps as a relaxant for patients with bipolar on lithium who are unable to be prescribed NSAIDs...my doctor did this for me when I tore a tendon, it was prescibed with diahydricodiene.

PROS: calming effect
CONS: body will build resistance

Helps for relaxation and falling asleep. A very mild medication, however continued daily use is usually not advisable. As with all prescription meds, talk to a health care professional face to face before use.

PROS: Is calming for anxiety ands panic, works fast and on an as needed basi
CONS: for me none

I am maybe not typical in that I have never had to up the dose I started at. I find the 5 mgs 3 x's a day PRN is perfect for relaxing me. It's not a costly med, doesn't make me sleepy, no dry mouth. I really like it for my dx and have been on it in excess of 10 years.

PROS: at beginning, helps control effect of anxiety
CONS: with time, it takes more & more to have same effect

Valium is the same as diazepam. I was taking valium/dizaepam for almost 12 years. When I initially started taking it, it seemed to be fairly effective in controling my anxiety levels. The longer I was taking it, the more I needed to take to get the same relief. I could almost down a whole bottle full without it having any effect by the end, so I decided to stop taking it at all. From what I have heard, I was lucky to not go through any withdrawall at all. Even when I go back now & take it, it still seems to have no helpful effect on the anxiety.

PROS: Fast acting, calming.
CONS: Not for long term use.

I found it was good for my PA, and overall muscle spasms I get. Works great for those. After the inital drowsiness I didn't have any "odd" side effects, which was nice. The only down side is not prescribed for long term use.
