I want to start a poetry thread in here that you can either post in the conventional way with words or you can post external links to your own spoken poetry in the form of mp3's,

it might go down quicker than a fridge full of beer at a party in the desert, or it might take off quicker than a ferret on steroids we will see

well here is my first link, it should start automatically but if it dont just press play.

for those of you on dial up here are the words also

I wanna find the meaning of my life
I wanna find where I went wrong
And find where i went right
I wanna find a love that will surely last
And Be able to look back in pride
On my chequered past
My choices were limited but perfectly clear
I know now that I would lose everything I held dear
No time for reflection
On the path that I chose
Moving forward with my life
With the attitude anything goes
So don’t stand before me
And try block my path
My superior intellect
will allow me to pass
I will shoot down all comers,
verbally of course
So has not to allow you
to divert me off course
Guidance is futile when they don’t know the way
Options are limited,
But that’s just one way
No one can choose the path that YOU take
You have to take your own path
And learn from your own mistake
No one has all the answers
to all your problems you see
Not your god, not mine, not you, and definitely not me
so search for yourself
In the infinity of time
The answers are out there
If you open your minds
To long lost possibilities
You left far far behind
Its time to revisit,
to relearn, to remind
bring all of your options
Into play and you will see
That you do not differ much more than me
it’s the way I approach things
That I differ from you
I’ve been threw my options
And there’s nothing left to do
I’m still looking and searching
For the answers I crave
And I will continue to do so
Till they put me in the grave

Your thinking is irrational
And it only brings me down
Let your demons out the closet
and lets go out upon this town
Lets drink a few tequilas
And have a jolly good old dance
Lets put some spirit back in your soul
Karaoke bar per chance?
Now I know your will is fading
And you think you are to old
But face it son you’re here right now
And your fortunes not been told
The past is the past so let it bee
Unshackle yourself and set yourself free
She wont be helped by you any more
no matter how hard you try
Its time my son to turn around
And say to her goodbye.
Goodbye to all the misery
Goodbye to all the pain
Goodbye to all the hurt
And goodbye to all the shame
Say hello to someone
Try and have a good time
People are not out to hurt you
Well not all the time

My life is still a misery thanks to you
With all the sh.it that you’ve put me threw
It is 7 years long since you’ve been dead
Yet even in hell you still mess with my head

Your girlfriend of 25 plus long years
Still has the ability to reduce me to tears
What she did to me, you will never accept has the truth
Here, go drown your sorrows, with a bottle of 40% proof

I’m now a full grown man with a kid of my own
And unlike you it is only love I have shown
I’ll never pick a woman over him, like you did me
There was a reason you never met my son, and that reason was me

I wasn’t gonna let you fu.ck up his life too
I couldn’t give a damn what you’ve been threw
You were there to protect me, I was lead to believe
But you were no-ware in sight, that’s when I had to leave

For 12 long years you never said a word to me
Even when you saw me struggling to live, you still left me bee
You crossed over the road when you saw me walking by
12 years ago was the final goodbye

I lived all alone on the streets of central London
5 long years, time that cannot be undone
Them 5 long years, made me the person I am today
And to be brutally honest, I wouldn’t have had it any other way

On the worst days of my life I am still a better father than you
Wanna compare notes? No?, well what you gonna do?
You were already dead in my eyes 20+ years ago
Its time to say goodbye once and for all.
Time for me to move on and hold my head tall.
