I'm having bouts where I'll need to go pee more often. What's strange though is that this is intermittent. So I'll have three or more days maybe where I'm totally fine, normal urination, no urge etc. then suddenly the next day I'll have this bout where I'll go a few times in succession, like every 2 hours or so. During this time my pee is clear, almost white colour but what's bothering me is why this is happening randomly. I haven't changed my diet or fluid intake. Still no pain or burning or anything severe before or after peeing. Maybe it is what it is but it's really normal for me. Usually I'll only need to pee about 2-3 times for the entire day!

The doctor has no idea about this. It's not high blood sugar as I checked my bs during one of these bouts and it was normal. It could be the mirtazapine / remeron I'm on (15mg) but this is not a known side effect. It's not an infection or uti as 4 urinalysis have come back negative each time. Doctor not concerned about prostate issues, firstly due to my age and secondly because I'm not having any prostate related symptoms.

So have no idea what to do apart from going back to doctor and requesting an urologist apt. God knows how long that will take. The only thing I could attribute it to is the remeron / mirtazapine but if these are side effects from that then I wasn't getting them when I started it 2 months ago.

I'm sorry I don't have any insight into what you're experiencing. But I noticed no one had replied to your post. So I thought I would. It's been a few days since you posted this. Hopefully things are improving for you. (By the way... I'm an old goat. And so peeing every couple of hours is normal for me 24 / 7!)

The only suggestion I would have to offer is that PsychCentral has a sister website: "NeuroTalk". I realize your problem isn't neurological. But there are a lot of members on NT who are quite knowledgeable with regard to a wide range of medical conditions. You might take a look at the forums over there & see if there appears to be anything that would be of benefit. Here's a link:

Thank you Skee, appreciate the response.
Things are a little better but still having some symptoms on and off. I have now stopped the Remeron so hopefully won't be too much longer until the damned drug is out of my system! I have never going on it again!
