Well... I'm not familiar with your posts. So I can't say anything in particular about what you've posted. I presume something happened that caused you to post this thread asking if you're hated here on PC. I'm sorry you're feeling as though you might be. PsychCentral can be intense. Sometimes we just need to take a break. But I always encourage members to take a break for a while before they leave PC altogether. This is my second time around here. And I came back because I missed it. So I always imagine that others who leave may miss it too.

I do think one has to be careful in posting on any social forum. For one thing, all other members have to go on is the words we write. They can't see our facial expressions or our hand gestures. They can't hear our tone of voice. And, as a result, something we meant to be supportive can be taken, by another member, to be angry or condescending. Plus, as the American Buddhist nun Pema Chödrön has written: "Criticism without compassion can be just mean." There are so many members, here on PC, who are in so much pain (perhaps you are one of them?) it's important that each of us try as hard as we can to be supportive. Will we always succeed? No... of course we won't. But it's important that we try our best.

Anyway... I don't know how you are viewed by other members here on PC. I doubt anyone here hates you. (Hopefully some other members, who are familiar with your posts, may have some insights they can offer with regard to the posts you have written.) All I can do is to encourage you to stay with us (assuming you want to.) I have over 14,000 posts here to date. And it has taken me a while to learn to do what I do here. There is a learning curve we all have to negotiate & it can take a while. Maybe you simply need to take a short break, then come back & continue on. My best wishes to you...

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
