Anyone else get enraged when you either realize or suspect that people are disrespecting you?

The last time was at a party with some new friends... and I don't know, some of the comments seemed to suggest that they think I'm the type of person who doesn't know how to determine if something some story is true, or just some story.

The thing is, I respect myself, and my hobby is research... So, I have a pretty good idea of what makes a good source. I come across interesting information every once in a while, and when I share it with people, they sometimes look at me like I'm crazy.

I'll write more, because I want to document the fact that the 2 topics I'm thinking of have evidence behind them. Perhaps I should work on my introduction to said story. Explain why I believe it's true and whatnot..

It doesn't help that I've had people (my enemies, I suspect) tell me that I'm obtuse, and that I don't even realize it when people are mocking me. I'm not even sure that's a bad thing.

I certainly get angry when I feel like I am being disrespected. I agree that it might be good sometimes when we don't realize such things are happening.

Yeah, telling someone that they are so stupid that they don't realize they are being mocked is like the ultimate setup. You've not only mocked them... you've mocked their response (or lack of response)...

Well, it is what people do, isn't it?
