Hi, this is Leon. I am a 21 year old male. I go to a university.
I have an OCD problem that has been with me for most of my life. I've had an OCD thoughts for as long as I can remember. I have negative obsessions with certain numbers and they have seemed to pop up everywhere. I couldn't enjoy my graduation from community college because of these damn thoughts. It's making me angry and pissed off that these thoughts keep staying with me. Whenever I get angry because of these thoughts, I feel helpless and hopeless. My anger makes me feel like there is no hope. I have trouble with letting go of the past which involves my OCD as well. That makes me angry too. Please help. Advice? Insight? |

I'm sorry you're struggling with this. I don't have the type of problem you have such as with numbers. But I do find it pretty-much impossible to let go of the past. So I can certainly relate to that. How I handle intrusive thoughts, as well as anger (which I also have a lot of), is through the use of the practice called compassionate abiding.
