just wondering if anyone else here has OCD about odd/ even numbers?

I won't do anything, or keep anything, if it's an odd number- it has to be even.

same with food.. even number of items on the plate, go somewhere at an even numbered time, have an even number of things in the laundry, is anyone else like this?
is the number (if it's odd or even) important to you or not

I know my anxiety is high when I'm shopping and have to buy items in multiples of two. I just can bring myself to buy three of anything. My husband used to tease me about it an purposeful put three items in the cart just to see what I would do.
So yes I understand

I don't have OCD (although maybe some traits), but yeah this has always been a thing for me. I don't like setting alarms on odd numbers, etc. I prefer to check things an even number of times. But it isn't a thing for me with food. Its not really a problem most of the time but when my anxiety is high it is worse.

I don't have odd vs. even numbers, but I have very defined good and bad numbers, and equations to find potential hidden bad numbers within superficial good numbers. One thing it really effects is drinking any liquid - has to be certain number of swallows. I also have a numeric formula for the alphabet, mostly for people's names, but it adds an extra layer of work and potential distress in my brain.

I don't really do everything in even numbers but more just in sets of 4, sometimes it has to be 256 though (4 to the 4th power). But if not in sets of 4 then for sure at least even.

This is very typical in OCD. Numbers, counting stairs/steps other items, etc is common. I have to have my radio, tv, etc on a certain channel and volume # whenever I turn them off.

Yes I may have mild OCD and I am weird about odd numbers. The radio volume needs to be at an even number. I used to feel that things had to be an even number or relatives would get harmed. It’s irrational but it must be anxiety and idk.
