I’m having a tough day. My thoughts are getting to me and I just want them to go away. I keep having thoughts about not wanting to be with my boyfriend anymore, that I want to meet other people. It’s upsetting me, I don’t want to hurt him. We just discussed about spending the rest of our lives together and now I have this going on. I mean we have our problems but I know I don’t want to do that to him. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks ROCD

I recall replying to your introductory post. Unfortunately I don't know as I have any really recreative suggestions to offer you. You haven't mentioned if you are seeing a therapist. If not, perhaps that would be something to consider? It's not that I'm even all that excited about the idea of therapy myself. But I always think that just having someone to talk things like this through with can be such a relief. And I personally don't believe one can do this with family or friends. (They don't know what to say & besides they have their own problems.) Journaling is another activity that some people find therapeutic. And, of course, there's continuing to post here on PC. My personal opinion is that the one thing you do not want to do is to continue to allow all of this to just rattle around in your brain, so to speak. But, then, that is just my personal opinion.
