Hello....I did something incredibly stupid last year by posting something inappropriate on my brother’s Facebook page. It had to do with anxiety and depression and the use of a particular medication. He had given me his password and I took advantage of his trust. I apologized and he has forgiven me yet I cannot forgive myself.

I have been diagnosed with Real Even Ocd and will begin ERP soon, Has anyone had success with this kind of therapy?

Thank you,

Hello Ikeeptrying: I don't have personal experience with ERP therapy. (Perhaps there will be other PC members who will have had some experiences they can share.) However I noticed this is your first post. So I thought I would at least say welcome to Psych Central.

Here are links to 5 articles, from Psych Central's archives, on the subject of ERP therapy for OCD:

What Is ERP for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder?

ERP Therapy: A Good Choice for Treating OCD

Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy for OCD

ERP and ACT for OCD — Making Sense of the Acronyms!

Anxiety and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) Therapy

I hope you find PC to be of benefit.
