My OCD is so strong and I'm on the verge of being functional but I'm too anxious to tackle ERP.

I am not capable of sustaining more anxiety. It'd rip me apart entirely.

I'm caught in this hell cycle until either surgery becomes widely available or I finally get to die.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Do you take any medication? Perhaps you can take something to help with your OCD and then start ERP. If you do currently take medication maybe you need a med change.

I feel so terrible also. I love to read but it triggers high levels of anxiety. I also have DID on top of OCD. Why is this happening to me?

As @88Butterfly88 told you should start taking medicines that can help you to ease your anxiety. I have read that the best medication to take with ERP is Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). Before starting any medication talk to your doctor. Hope you will get better soon.
