Today i fainted during break at work. I was sitting on the bed and layed on my side and just went black. I was very lightheaded before i layed down and dizzy. I had the flu as you all know on christmas day. I have a doc appt at 10:30 tomorrow to have my blood pressure taken and find out why i have been feeling like crap. I felt good for one day then i felt like crap. I got to thinking and wonder if its just my mind telling me im dizzy and all. Or im worn out emotionally from all that has happened. Being off prozac and all. Maybe nothings wrong and the docs will think im a big hypochondriac. (no offense). I have been to the docs once allready for my ankle and now this. what will they think? What if nothings wrong and my mind is making a big deal over nothing? What if somethings wrong and no one beleives me?

Please comment on this cause im just worried.

Doctors are professionals...who are there to analyze your health status...(that's as important as it gets)....You're doing the right thing, getting checked out. I'll be thinking of you.

To me it sounds like it's from being sick. Don't take my word for it, as I am no doc. I think going to the doc is a very good thing. Don't worry about what they think. People get sick...some people are sick all the time. Don't worry.

I am glad you are going to see the doc. That is what is important to find out what is wrong. Don't worry what they may think but use their expertise. I hope it is something that can be treated easily. Please concentrate on getting better and don't worry about the rest.

I'm a lot like you. I think that the doctor will think I'm a hypochondriac. Especially more now since one doctor I had told me that I have a weak mind and that this thing I had wrong with my throat had to do with what I was thinking. Well that's fair enough, but he didn't refer me to mental health or counselling. He was good at giving the right answers but not at helping me. I left that doctor and finally found one who did something about getting me help.
If you were at the doctors every week with something wrong then they might think, 'oh here she goes again.' But you're not there every week. It'll be ok. It's good to go to the doctor if you are worried about something. Fainting is not something to ignore.

Well the docs did a full blood work. Nothing out of the ordinary, all within normal limits. Thats good. He said it probly was a once in a life time event. I sat up to fast or something. Thats good. That puts my mind to rest now.

I'm glad that your mind was put at ease...but don't just dismiss it....fainting often signals just plain fatigue...take good care of yourself ok? eat well, get plenty of rest....(am I sounding like a nice mother now?)
