I'm resurrecting the gratitude thread, because I need to get in to gratitude tonight. =)

Tonight I am greatful for:

My sobriety

The fact that I had 2 teeth pulled, even though it hurts, because it had to be done and it all worked out, and it's forcing me to take care of my teeth.

My job, even though it's irritating me lately, because I at least I get to go to work and make money.

My apartment in all it's messy splendor.

My cat and his unwaivering love for his momma.

My grandma and her unending strength and support.

These forums, where I can come and read or post or read and post, or chat, or laugh or sulk or whine.....and everyone understands no matter the emotion.

The girl who is looking to me for help to stay sober. Today is day 8 for her, and she's helping me way more then she knows.

For the ability to find gratitude even though I'm in pain and exausted, because without being greatful, what is there?

I'm grateful that people care and still continue to care despite my sometimes outrageous behaviour.

I'm grafeful I have a loving family to help me out.

I'm grafeful for the people who help me, like my online friends.

I'm grafeful for my pdoc, who helps me.

I'm grafeful that we live in a society that helps people.

I'm grafeful for the time I got to spend with Hammie.

I got to see my friend and her grandson today, and it was a joy to see them both - and the little boy was really cute today! We saw new baby lambs...they must have been just a day or two old. Very sweet. So that's probably three things to be grateful for!

I am seeing a new specialist at a teaching hospital tomorrow, one of the country's leading experts in a health problem I have. I am very thankful for this opportunity. Also a bit nervous! But very thankful.

I am thankful for the opportunity to have a roof over my head, clean clothes to wear, and food to eat.

I'm thankful I know caring friends.

I'm thankful for my counselor's work with me and his support.

Just for today, I'm grateful for:

having been able to work outside on some landscaping
painting a thrift store lamp to suit my decor
having worked with hubby with only one very minor misunderstanding

I'm grateful because I just got DSL today! I have a lot of accounts to update, but I'm ok with that. And I can be on the phone and the Internet at the same time, so my mom can call me anytime she wants! Anytime. She wants. *Blink* Hmmm...maybe I need to rethink this. LOL! Just kidding! I love my mom! Really!

I'm grateful for my boyfriend's bird, Loki. He's a brat, but I love him just the way he is!

I'm grateful for ice cream, even if it's bad for me, because it's yummy!
