Default Who is more terrible?

The doctors or the lawmakers?

The shiny specced junior psychiatrist who believes the mentally disordered has a brain disorder. Highly appointed they relearn their education, upstairs. After 10 years in the job they learn the lunatic is human filth, quite literally. Even if they could ‘fix them’ they don’t because it goes against royal guidelines. They insist that a psychotic requires the drugs they prescribe. The trillion dollar business which leads to a lifelong medicated lifestyle upholds their top job.

The pharmacy bosses and other executives including law makers interested in profit and establishment. The lunatic must take century old medicine; natural defences are almost eliminated sometimes causing a lifetime of requiring medicines and ‘care’. 20% of schizophrenics kill themselves but treatment is still insisted. Their ties with the media and guideline organisation is used to distract the role of the stomach.

Both will refer to the anarchy before the current medicines came around. They probably might make mention of what great strides psychiatry has made progressing from a tool of hitler and the so barbaric psychosurgery/lobotomy treatment. However, both use the human suffering past current and future in a totally selfish way. Both know the stomach to be the cause of the mad persons anguish. Yet, each in their own way ensure ‘boxes are ticked’. Comfortable leather chairs are bought and the best mirrors in the land. The mad person is confined to their bed in agonising daily torment as the stomach is not something that is investigated.

The doctor after all is only holding onto their job but He knows at least 50% of his patients could be helped that same day. But he died. Those voices screaming in his head and the cruel body dislocations have become why he is so prestigious and important. He insists on specialty treatment as it has become such an important part of his job- he knows the terrible outcome of his treatment.

On the other hand. The executive. The mad person is a commodity. The pain and uncertain future is a bag of goodies. The bloodied walls can easily be painted over and the the six nurses to administer etc is a smart enough operation to invest heavily in expanding MH treatment for what it has become.

I don’t pay really pay much attention to doctors. I just go in and out in 15 minutes every 3 months. They sort of freak me out though.

Sometimes discomfort causes screaming. Your doctor knows this. He also knows anti psychotics shorten life by about 10 years. Diabetes and terrible shaking might occur he might tell you referring to some Latin words he learned to pronounce in school. During your torment and misery with the world he secretly withholds knowledge about the fuel of your hell. His friend the psychologist picks you apart connecting unconnected events and hands you skinned and ready for serving back to the psych.
The doctor aware your natural defences to ‘mental illness’ are lowered insists you undergo treatment. You are dazzled in the media with statistics claiming mental illness is a worsening condition. Some people get better but most require lifetime care and needles for two years has been shown to be effacious.

I kind of pay attention but don't hold them on some type of pedestal or anything like that. Sort of like a my body, my self thought pattern. They are there for advise or to help with health crisis but there's always room for a second or third opinion or to just walk away. They sure as heck aren't God or like that. I respect the good ones and at this point count my blessings that I haven't met the nefarious ones that I hear about. Guess I know when to walk away?

There’s no need to be rude.
