I have to get this out. Does anyone else feel like their therapist
doesn't really give a **** ! He just sits there like a lump on a log.
No matter what I say to him he shows no emotion or sincere caring.
With him it's just all about the $$$. If I just could find ONE good
friend I could talk to I would drop this guy in a second. Sorry for the
vent. I'm just sick of the SOS. Got to make a change.

Hi Continuously blue,

Thank you for sharing your experience. Know that no matter how alone you feel in your predicament: you are most definitely not alone!

Listen to your gut.

Listen to your intuition.

Whatever [barriers] are keeping you from making the decision that you very clearly have spelled out: list those barriers. Perhaps we can help you in making a wise decision.

It is normal to sift through several therapists in order to find one that fits best. It is not always a matter of good therapist or bad, but rather chemistry. Think of it like a sport: while on paper, the most experienced, most talented players may seem like the proper fit - in real life - it is far more complex. What makes magic happen is when the proper fit is established. That is FAR more important. Sometimes that requires seeing many therapists to find out who is best for us. There is no shame in saying goodbye to a therapist if things are not working out, and continuing to engage in ineffective therapy will only hurt you in the long-run.

Thanks,
HD7970ghz

Have you tried some support groups? Usually you get a chance to vent there and sometimes find a friend, too.

I've felt that at times. It wasn't true, for me. It was ant my mother projecting itself onto T. I can't talk for anybody else's therapist. We worked through.
