Negative thinking linked to dementia in later life, study finds - CNN
I'll comment more later but I thought this was interesting. Not sure how accurate it is, I havent researched it yet.

Thanks for posting this. I had seen something about it somewhere else as well... (perhaps in an article in PC's archives?) If this is true then I would say I'm a prime candidate for dementia. And in fact, for a while now, I've been experiencing something similar to what is referred to as "sundown syndrome". I've read that sundown syndrome is often (but not always) a precursor to dementia.

Just watching 10 min of CNN will make all of your positive thoughts disappear.

Is that really necessary?

Hahah it made me laugh, that’s always a possibility. I don’t watch CNN so I wouldn’t know

Here's a link to an article, from PC's archives, on the subject:

Repetitive Negative Thinking Linked to Higher Risk of Alzheimer's

Yes similar or same idea that I posted.

This might work better than CNN article for those who find CNN unacceptable 😂 I am trying to be positive here 😂

Check out some of the Buddhist resources on the human mind & thinking. They have some really good explanations to provide clarity on our minds, specifically when our minds are under stress. Remember, thoughts are just thoughts. In no way do thoughts speak to truth. Actually most of our thoughts aren't true, ESPECIALLY when under stress

Interesting. It seems like negative thought patterns can actually have a mark on the brain. It's interesting how a purely psychological phenomenon can cause a seemingly physical one.

What just happened? Did they combine two threads? Post that appears my post #2 was actually my first Initial post as I started this thread.

Now it appears that I post exact same thing as initial post said. Makes me look like an idiot lol

It appears that they took Sara’s thread and combined with mine. And some comments appeared to be dragged from other thread. And now it looks weird. I wish they gave people warnings when they roll their threads into someone else’s thread. No biggie. Just strange

These links just make me more depressed - and glad to know they combined the threads because all the duplicates seemed odd!

Sara’s thread wasn’t in this sub forum. I’d not be able to see it. They then moved her thread in to this subforum and strangely they just rolled mine into it. I’d rather they just deleted mine.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
