From few days, I have been getting ill feelings towards every human being. I don't know what is happening to me. People just wanna criticize me. I try to help them but they don't wanna help me. I asked for some advice but only 2 persons helped me. Others just listened to the problem as if they are joining what is happening in my personal life. I feel as if they are so selfish. They just wanna take help but don't wanna help others. Even if they don't have anything to advice,at least words of comfort may help, isn't it? I literally avoid asking for help from people because I don't wanna disturb them but when i do, consider it a serious issue. Next i am tired of being criticized. Even if i help them,they don't take it seriously. They humiliate so much. It's as if they slit your neck into two and say"Oh sorry,sorry.. I didn't mean that." Yet i forgive them even before they ask for it. Please help me. I have so many hardships and i just need words of comfort to be least but they don't understand what one is going through. I can't discuss my problems with anyone, they would consider it a burden ,i am sure. I am tired of keeping them within myself.
I don't know what is happening to my heart. It's getting filled with filthy feelings, I don't know what should i do? |

Have you considered talking to a therapist? At least they listen to our concerns.
Frankly, many of us are rather selfish and tire easily of people they feel are burdening them with their woes. But we at Psych Central are here to listen and to offer advice, if you'd like it. Okay? |

Therapy...umm... I've never ver taken professional help. I don't know but I don't think i'll be able to discuss my problems with them either. I have so much fear of being judged.

Hi @1imaan1, and a warm welcome to Psych Central.
Yes, I fully understand the feelings building up inside of you, and I just want you to know, it's very common to feel hurt and even angry, when people say things that humiliate us. It's good of you to reach out here and let those feelings out - unburden yourself. Because it's hard carrying around a lot of pain all the time, I know, I go through very similar things. I see you're not interested in therapy because of trust issues - understandable - so, maybe try looking into ways that help you to just 'let go'. That's what I practice, the 'letting go'. It helps me. Something negative happens and then I feel and perceive the ill-feelings and ill-thoughts washing over me, I start feeling awful and not in control, confused (for me) and so that's when I must let it go. Put a stop to it! Because regardless of what has caused it - and those situations may happen time and time again, anyway - the mental process is inside of us. The darkness grows inside of us (speaking for myself). I think things like DBT and Mindfulness will be good for you in this respect 1imaan1. There are a lot of websites and also YouTube videos about DBT and Mindfulness. Because it's all about how we process things within the mind, friend. Feel very welcome to share anything on this site because there are a lot of members here who understand and who are going through very difficult things as well. That's why I like it here. Hugs to you. |

@1imaan1
Yes, that's something that can happen when a person gets downhearted and has a lot of worry and concern in them. The person may begin to withdraw, you see. It's difficult. In some ways, going by my own experience, I liken it to something that's going through changes, going through a re-evaluation of life. Interests, social activities, the wish to branch out and do things, get's put on hold. But try not to get lost in yourself too much, friend. Try to keep your interests alive, even just a little bit, and try to find that positive reason to do things. You're not alone in these struggles, believe me. |

I understand your concerns, but sometimes it's a lot easier talking to a stranger than friends or family. For example, I tell people on here and in my support groups much more than I tell my real life friends. People here understand where I'm coming from.
You say you've never sought professional help. Does that mean you've never tried meds either? They help me a lot. |
