Hi Guys ,

I had to have a sebaceous cyst removed today in the doctors office , and the area is in the lower abdomen area.

He had to dig really dig to get that complete sack , so deep , that I said a few choice words , his response was " O , you felt that , I just had to get the last of it" .

He probably went below where the lidocaine was , if he did not , it just would have grown back .

So my worry is the swelling and bruising , it is not overly warm to the touch and it does not hurt to put slight pressure around where the bruising and swelling spread .

Can someone please tell me if what I am experiencing is normal for the procedure I had done ?

Many thanks , my doc is off this weekend and I really can`t afford a trip to the ER.

Also I do not have a fever , and I can`t tolerate pain pills or antibiotics and my doc said I would not need either.

Thanks again ,

I'm not sure, but I wouldn't think it would be a medical emergency. I can certainly see bruising as a possibility anyway. If you're worried, then you could go to the emergency room/immediate care, though. I do hope it heals well.

I'm sorry I can't comment on this. But I just wanted to offer my best wishes for your rapid & complete recovery.

Hi Guy`s ,

Thanks for your input and well wishes , me too

No insurance , so no ER , ( for now ) , but I woke up this AM and it was fairly ugly.
I did speak with my pharmacist and she told me area swelling and bruising is normal and blood flows and pools where gravity takes it

I will have to call Monday if the swelling does not go down or the bruising gets worst , and it might , I have read in some cases bruising and swelling may continue or even get worst before it gets better.

Big question is why do I have to pay him plus do my own research and call on you guys to help ??

He should have been up front with me , and said , this is what to expect ,this is what will happen , but no , he was in to much of a hurry so he could make more money off his next victim .

Every dog has his day !!

Later , take care

KP

I wondered, too, why the doc didn't tell you what to expect. Shame on him!

Not a very good doc. after what I have gone through in the past 32 hours , the best I could say is he is just a hack , plain and simple with no regard for the well fair of people under his care or knife for that matter !!

I am sore , but it looks way worst than it feels , I guess I am lucky it is not on my face , but it is in a very delicate area , and in that area the skin is so thin it might take until the next election before I am back to normal , if then !!

He was in too much of a rush , he should have taken the time to inform me of everything that could possibly happen and then taken his time to do the job right.

Like I said , in my book , now -- my doc of 20 years is just a cheap hack !!

Take care
