Fish oil supplements worsened my depression. I've tried them all, high dose, low dose. They all make me feel flat and depressed. When I stop taking them it lifts within a day.
My body was not made with fish oil. My mother did not eat fish when I was in the womb (she's allergic), and I did not eat fish growing up (I hated it). I hope this is helpful to others who have had bad results with fish oil. |

I've had good results with fish oil and cod liver oil. Taking a liquid supplement was easier for me to take in the morning. Either way, filled with omega-3 fatty acids. they are both good oils to add to your diet.

It didn't do anything for me and I stopped it finally.

I was prescribed fish oil from one of my VA doctors. The slime of the pills leaked all over the inside of my purse when I tried to take them as prescribed wherever I went. It was the last time I took them. I'm not sure if they helped me, but I wondered how I could get similar benefits by eating foods with that vitamin in it. I may get back on them, but I'll only take them while at home.

A good source of omega 3 and 6 is salmon or avocado or nuts. I tried fish oil years ago. All it gave me was horrid indigestion and lots of burping.
