This afternoon I had gone into the kitchen to look for something and glanced at the counter where I had a few containers of things I hadn't thrown away yet from last night's supper. Anyway Zeke knows he's not allowed on the counter but the way I knew he had been on the counter was he had barfed while up on the counter EWWWWWWWWWWWWW. Not from anything on the counter he had just eaten his food to fast again. Anyway just about then he came sauntering into the kitchen and I told him if you are going to be on the counter don't leave evidence you've been there right?! He meowed back okay mom I learned my lesson. Silly kitties.

Our dog, Turbo, has a FAVORITE stuffed animal (monkey). He loves monkey - shows him whose boss, carries him everywhere, even gives him baths, and when you say "where's monkey" he goes off to get him. Well this morning, Turbo was whining and I knew it was the "I want my monkey" whine. Do you think I could find monkey anywhere. Now Turbo has a tendency to really get wild with his toys, especially monkey.(we've found toys in plants (hanging ones), going for rides in ceiling fans, in sinks, in the bathtub, in garbage cans, on high bookshelves, etc) I finally found monkey behind my sewing cabinet! Turbo acted like a little kid who didn't have his/her security blanket until monkey was found. Silly dog!

I guess I have learned my lesson about getting up and hitting snooze and getting back in bed. I purposefully have my alarm clock across the room because supposedly it is to keep me up after the alarm goes off but I tend to hit and run back to bed for a few minutes and do this repeatedly. Anyway I was doing this today and I guess Zeke had had enough because I got a big whiff of a Zeke fart and he was telling me to get up and stop hitting the alarm LOL. Man something must have crawled up him and died. Reminder change Zeke's food.

I found this right humorous, and it involved a real late night incident with one of my beloved Keeshonden (Hans ... after Hans Christian Andersen) back in the late 80's.

He had two different barks ... one for people and another for critters ... A deep bark meant people we didn't know were nosin' around, and A high pitched yip meant a critter or varmint had crept into his kennel area.

One evening, around 1:00 a.m., I was awakened by the, "Hey! There's a critter in my sleeping area!" bark. I got up and went downstairs and opened the door. He was looking at a little mole that had blindly wandered into his sleeping area.

I tried to scoop the mole up, but he ran behind a wooden planter my mother had sitting behind the door. Hans was watching excitedly and intently as I tried to maneuver the planter to get to the mole.

Finally, exasperated at my ineptness, he walked up to the planter, lifted his leg and proceeded to pee all over that poor little mole. That little mole was flinching, squinting and ducking trying to get out of the yellow rain.

"Hans!", I proclaimed ... And he looked up at me like, "Well ... you aren't doing such a great job!" ... I finally got the mole and put him outside the fence and he promptly crawled up into one of the holes in the cinder blocks never to be seen or heard from again.

I still laugh out loud whenever I think about this ... Matter of fact I'm laughing right now!

Hope y'all find it amusing too, however, I don't think the mole did ... Not one bit!

My thanks to all of you who have contributed to this thread. I found it a few days ago and now come looking through it when I need a pick-me-up. It's been good therapy.

Don't know if I did that right, but it's a pretty funny picture.
