It's been a sad day today, but that one made me laugh. Thanks!

A father found his four-year-old daughter outside brushing their dog's teeth, using his toothbrush.
"What are you doing with my toothbrush?!" the father asked in alarm. "I'm cleaning Rocket's teeth," the daughter answered sweetly. "But don't worry, Dad. I'll rinse it out when I'm done, just like I always do." |

Dog Dictionary cont.
1) Wastebasket: This is a doggie's treasure chest regularly stocked with a changing array of interesting items. When you get bored, turn the basket over and strew the contents all over the house. When your human comes home, they're sure to express their excitement with your creative decorating. 2) Sofas: This is your doggie napkin. After eating, it is polite to run up and down the front of the sofa and wipe your face clean. Anybody else have some proposed doggie definitions? |

I don't know if anyone has a pet snake, but here's a snake joke.
Teacher: In this box I have a ten-foot snake. Student: You can't fool me! Snakes don't have feet! |

Anyone a fan of the fiction books about cats and dogs? I just finished a mystery by Rita Mae Brown. She has a series which "Sneakie Pie," her cat, supposedly helps write. What's funny about this series is that the animals communicate with each other, talking about their humans, people in general, and, of course, discussing what's happening in the animal world around them. In general, they consider humans to be pathetic and generally unlikeable, although, of course, they are generally fond of their owners! The pets in the book I just read (and I'm sure in the others in the series) are trying to help solve some murders, and they try to give their owner some clues, but, of course, she's a bit slow on the uptake. I remember the old Lassie series in which Lassie tries to bark to let Timmy and his parents know that something bad is going on.
Anybody know of other entertaining books about pets? |

I gather you folks aren't readers? I think there are some series about dogs, but I'm not familiar with them.

The only books I've read on pets was how to train my dog. It didn't work out so well. I think he has ME trained!

So I wake up this morning, to find Murray (the little dog) snuggled up between me and my pillow I hug while I'm sleeping. He just looked up at me with this face that said "I'm so warm and comfy, please don't move". He was so adorable!!

I saw a TV show last night that suggested that dogs who were attuned to human responses were the ones who ultimately survived, so that behavior is now a standard trait! It showed a dog who was trying to reach a rope in a cage to pull out some food. The rope was tied into a knot, though, so the dog couldn't get it out. After just a few tries, the dog turned to a person (probably his owner) and looked sad. So, of course, the human got it out for him!
