My beautiful awesome fur friend cat Snowdrop is going under anaesthetic today to have two decayed teeth removed and she has asthma,so there is a risk.I am so worried. It is 6am and I have to take her to the vets for 8am.I pray she will be ok and get through this...my mind is worrying about the worst and what can go wrong.I have been up since 4am,I have been keeping Snowdrop away from the food and water, she has to have an empty stomach.I shut all the doors upstairs so she can't hide under the bed or in a corner where I can't get to her.She keeps rubbing against me ,she trusts me,she wants food,I feel so bad,if anything goes wrong I will have taken her to her death.I can't bear this anxiety.I've had my shower and got ready,I am just waiting now until it is time to take her to the vets.I hope all will be well!

Well things couldn't have turned out better.Snowdrop was put under anaesthetic and under closer inspection her teeth weren't decayed only stained and she had tartar, she only needed a scale and polish not to have any teeth out.So they cleaned up took the tartar off and polished her teeth up and she's good to go.She is home now and asleep. She is a bit subdued from the anaesthetic but should be ok by tomorrow. It cost me a hundred pounds less than it would have done if the teeth had had to come out.I am happy and hopefully cleaning her teeth will stop the excess salivating.
I've decided after xmas to take my other cat and get her teeth checked and cleaned if necessary. Her name is Stripe, she's Snowdrop's sister. Thanks to you all for your concern and messages of support.I am relieved she is ok and isn't in pain. |

Glad that was unexpected good news. Has she stopped the excessive salvation?
