Default two new California pet laws

I saw a couple of news stories that I liked. Sorry, no links to the original stories.

California passed two new laws related to pets. The first requires that pet stores who sell cats, dogs or rabbits only sell animals from shelters. Yah! Maybe this will have some impact on puppy mill kind of places.

The other will treat pets as living critters in divorce cases. No more treating pets as property in divorce settlements. Decisions about custody are to be made in the best interest of the pet.

WOW! I am glad to hear this! Both are important benefits for pets and animals!

Those sounds like good laws. I hope other states follow suit.

Good. Its about time people stopped buying designer dogs just because they want to carry them around in a Gucci purse.

I smell the approach of pet attorneys.

Literally right now NJ wants to pass a law appointing dogs attorneys for certain things.

This implies the NJ bar exam is less than robust.
