I know we've had a couple of threads about helping our doggos with noise related anxiety.
I talked to my vet about some products I saw in a catalog. She told me a personal experience with lavender oil from a training she went to. I decided to give it a try. IT WORKE!!!! It starts to work almost immediately. So many of the other things I tried take awhile to work, meanwhile BG is coming out of his skin. I applied it to the inside of his ears and the area above and between his eyes (the third eye). He mellowed out in minutes. I found lavender oil in the pharmacy area of WalMart. Got two .3 ounce bottles for six bucks. Thought I'd share the results with y'all. It's cheap at Wally World. Works fast and doesn't leave him drugged up for hours afterward. |

I learned about the healing properties of different herbs when i went to beauty school. I do use rosemary mint shampoo in the morning to wake me up, and jasmine perfume at night to calm me to sleep.
Next you'll be giving Beej a doggie manicure? Seriously, i am glad it helps! |

Thanks. I don't think I'll be giving him a manicure any time soon. It's taken two years to convince him not to freak out over having his nails trimmed. I bet he'd go for a massage though.
