I had to have Kitty put to sleep, a Maine Coon cat of 15 years old. He had stopped grooming himself for over a year, was skin and bones, had dementia. When the vet saw him, he said, "this cat is far beyond needing to be put to sleep." I had nursed him for over a year. But, upon this, my dog, Fozzie, stopped eating, stayed in one position in the house, didn't want to eat. I was watching him, brushing him, but he seemed to be grieving. Fozzie was 8 weeks old when I brought him home after adopting him from the animal shelter. He and Kitty were always together. Three days after putting Kitty to sleep, I couldn't find Fozzie upon waking. He always slept beside my bed. He had gone out on the deck and passed away.

Seeker, I'm so sorry. Seems like Fozzie wanted to stay with kitty. So hard to lose a furbaby. Two so close together must be extra hard. How are you doing?

Seeker,
I'm so sorry. Losing 2 pets so close together is horrible. I'm so sorry, seeker. I take comfort that they can be together once again. What a distressing, but sweet story about two pets who loved each other.
