Hi, Travelinglady! Thank you for the link to the article. That is very interesting. Would you consider getting a pig? I need to think about this.

Wondering if there is such a thing as a micro pig. The more they eat the bigger they grow.

The title of your thread made me think of this comedy skit:

Funny account!

No, I don't plan on getting a pig. I have two cats and a dog and that's enough.

No, to me pigs belong in a barn. In a house reminds me too much of Animal Farm by Orwell.

How about Arnold on "Green Acres"? They kept having to get a new pig because the old one got too big. But it could do tricks!

And I hear they're very clean if you keep them away from mud!

You'd think they could grow a mini pig. I've never known anyone to have a pet pig.

This talk of pigs reminds me of something that happened to me at work.

Pre-Covid we did home visits to see clients. As I entered the client's house the father said "Don't pet the pig. He bites." My thought was "That's not gonna be a problem!"
At one point the piglet came over to check me out. Gotta say he was cute. He was a young mini-potbelly. At the time he was a bit bigger than a hamster. Cute or not, I'd just as soon not have a pig in my house.

A neighbor we sometimes chat with during our walks said she used to have a pig. She also said the neighbors would complain about how noisy it was (it needed to be put outside in the early morning) and it ruined her back yard.

Pigs do not seem as irresistibly snuggly as cats, dogs or even a guinea pig!
