Every time I clean the litter and make everything tidy ad beautiful, 5 minutes later, he does this. Am I doing something wrong?

It looks like the cat likes a clean bathroom to use. Maybe it was waiting until it is cleaned. It would be interesting to know if after the cat had been to the toilet what would happen if you cleaned it straight away? Would the cat be busting to go to the toilet again?
Your cat sure does like to spread the litter around. Have you tried an enclosed litter tray. That might help contain some of the mess. |

Albert does it because he is a cat. Some of the furballs seem to enjoy throwing litter around.
After posting my smartaleck answer I googled it. Iheartcats.com has a good article with reasons why. |

I love cats. Cats will do this as a way to communicate their stress to their human, that their bathroom is dirty. If you can get into the habit of sifting his litterbox every 2-3 days he'll stop making that mess. Cats act out their stress and will often pant and refuse to eat if they are stressed. I noticed in your other pet thread that your cat's not eating. He's stressed about his environment. That, or he doesn't like his food or something's going on internally. A vet visit will help you. But keep Albert's litterbox clean or this behavior of him telling you to clean it will continue. I've owned a lot of cats and whenever I get lazy and leave poop in the litterbox, that annoys the cat so they will pee and poop and make a huge mess on the floor around the litterbox.
I would change your cat's food and take him to the vet for a good checkup. He's stressed. So he's acting out b/c he can't tell you he is stressed. |

They like their boxes to be as immaculate as possible. I do have 5, but I clean their boxes twice (a.m. and p.m.).
Also, a high-sided little box would be terrific. You can find them on Amazon. __________________ |

Get one like this and order the top for it. That way, Albert won't be able to spill the litter everywhere. You'll have to take the top off to clean it, but it will be less of a hassle for you in the long run.

^^^ That's what I use (it doesn't have a top, the sides are just quite high). I put a Gorilla mat under the box. The mat catches any litter that does escape.
