Good Morning all,

So long story short, parents were neglectful in childhood and stepdad was especially strict re: food. I.E. we never had ice cream or any desserts, weren't allowed to choose what we wanted in restaurants, couldn't snack, etc.

Mom would then let brother and I ditch from school and get junk food (mainly sweets) at the grocery store, which we then had to eat while stepdad was at work, then hide the evidence.

Now, I struggle with the concept of not having enough food vs. keeping "binge" foods out of the house.

Does anyone else have the same issues? How do you approach it? Do you keep binge foods out of the house? Or do you make everything available so that you know you can have it if you want it?
