Would like to know everyone’s stories on they’re recovery from binge eating and how it went.
I’m a bit lost on the recovery process and trying to figure it out to better myself and rid myself of it.
Little bits of advise and things from experience would be great.
Also how people get over the guilt afterwards as I have

Hi Jojo,

I've had my struggles with binge eating too. I can't say I have the answers yet but I do know to avoid dieting, the restriction leads to bingeing. However, I also binge when emotionally dysregulated - so that I haven't figured out yet. Apparently emotional eating and binge eating are two separate things, this is new to me. I'd like to just eat normally and stop food and my weight being such a big focus in my life.

Anyway, I listen to a lot of podcasts from Dietitians who are eating disorder/intuitive eating/health at every size experts - and it helps me to understand a bit better.

I'm not sure it that's helpful, but I wanted you to know you're not alone, and I'd be happy to read more of your thoughts on the subject.

I have struggled with BED. The best thing I've done for myself is not to buy the food I tend to binge on. I replace it with stuff that is healthy for me even though I don't like the foods as much but at least am getting good nutrition as opposed to eating junk full of salt, sugar and things unhealthy. That's about all I can offer.
